I ended up having to use the administrative tool in Windows XP and reloading default permissions through an existing INF file thus resetting every registry key back to it's default read/write state. Simply was governing parts of my registry by setting certain parts of my registry key permissions to, "read only". It has a management package that was designed to protect it's rights management. ![]() After some research I found out that Crystal Reports was the culprit. Every program I tried to install since it's removal was not being allowed, also every program I tried to uninstall was not being allowed. It was after the removal of crystal reports that my computer went to hell. One day I decided to checkout Visual Studio 2008, (which came with crystal reports) I decided I didn't like it and removed it from my computer. I've been working with VB6.0 for some time. I'm not an expert in Crystal Reports, however you might find my info and experiences to be of some use with your question.
